Welcome! Guess what I used to do for a living?
Give up?
I retired from the United States Army after 22 years of active service..
I spent nearly 3 years in Viet Nam. My first tour saw me on the ground as an
Intelligence Sergeant, and my second & third tours found me in the air flying helicopters
(OH-6 "Loachs" or Scouts, UH-1C gunships, and UH-1B, D & H models ("Slicks")) and airplanes
(OV-1D Mohawks). My callsigns all ended in one-three - Robinhood 13, Nighthawk 13, etc.
Now I'm NOT superstitious, mind you . . .
But now-a-days, I'm just a dad. My kids call me Papa -
'cause I like it better 'n daddy. Personal preference, I suppose . . .
I have 4 wonderful children, each of whom has a personal
page on this site. They're pretty special kids in my un-biased opinion.
Once you get to know 'em, ya can't help but love 'em! Check out their pages and
see . . .
Then there's Gail, my soul mate. What else can I
say . . .
She too has a page on this site.
You can get to know her, just a little bit, by checking out her web page.
Recently, I have added Genealogy to my long list of
interests. Thanks to the excellent research efforts, and willingness to share,
of Renaee Marrotte, Renee Hendry Greene, Holly Joy Reckeweg, and many others, I am
able to post the Hendry Family of Southern
Maryland Tree website to our home page. Thanks, ladies!
Soon, I hope to post the Reckeweg Family Tree
as well.
Also, I have taken-up woodcarving to relieve
stress. At the Charles Count Fair in October 2006 I encountered some
follows from the Southern Maryland Woodcarvers club. More on this later -
stay tuned.
Well, that's all for now. Until the next time -
