Welcome!  Guess what I used to do for a living?

Give up?

I retired from the United States Army after 22 years of fun.

I spent nearly 3 years in Viet Nam. My first tour saw me on the ground as an Intelligence Sergeant, and my second & third tours found me in the air flying helicopters (OH-6 "Loachs" or Scouts, UH-1C gunships, and UH-1B, D & H models ("Slicks")) and airplanes (OV-1D Mohawks). My callsigns all ended in one-three - Robinhood 13, Nighthawk 13, etc. Now I'm NOT superstitious, mind you . . .

But now-a-days, I'm just a dad. My kids call me Papa - 'cause I like it better 'n daddy. Personal preference, I suppose.

I have 4 wonderful children, each of whom has a personal page on this site. They're pretty special kids in my un-biased opinion. Once you get to know 'em, ya can't help but love 'em! Check out their pages and see . . .

Then there's Gail, my soul mate. What else can I say . . .

She too has a page on this site. You can get to know her, just a little bit, by checking out her web page.

Recently, I have added Genealogy to my long list of interests.  Thanks to the excellent research efforts, and willingness to share, of Renaee Marrotte, Renee Hendry Greene, Holly Reckeweg, and many others, I am able to post the Hendry Family of Southern Maryland Tree website to our home.  Thanks, ladies!

Also, I have taken-up woodcarving to relieve stress.  At the Charles Count Fair in October 2006 I encountered some follows from the Southern Maryland Woodcarvers club.  More on this later - stay tuned.

Well, that's all for now. Until the next time -

Cheers from Southern Maryland!
