Notes for John Hendry:
John grew up in Liberty Co GA; he moved to Lowndes Co GA in 1827 (his brother, William moved also). About 1855, he moved to Hamilton Co FL. Descendents of his and brother, William, hold a Hendry reunion every year in Ft. Myers the Saturday after Easter; their meeting was featured in Ladies Home Journal one year (circa 1980).

Andrew J. Hendry was a private in CSA army (4/30/1861); he was wounded at
Warrenton, VA 7/1/1862 and died of wounds 7/15/1862. He was part of Co B,
18th Reg, GA Vol Inf, Army of Northern VA, CSA, Newton Co Ga Rifles.
